Wahoo Fitness App Reviews

Everything it promised

Combining this app with TickrX has been awesome. Now I can truly measure calories burned. I highly recommend

Very good program

I use wahoo fitness app 5-6 times a week in the summer with my iPhone set up on my bike, blue tooth headphones, and a wahoo heart rate monitor, and I have never had a problem. Easy to configure how you want it, calories, heart rate, cadence, speed, etc... Can even set up voice prompts when reaching mile stones and heart rate levels. I would highly recommend this app. Also I can upload all my data to my iPhone health app, Nike+ fuel app and Strava. Update: 1 year later: I have discovered the ability to bring up a heart zone page on the app, very happy with this. It shows you all at once what heart rate zone you are in and if its warm up, fat burning, aerobic, anaerobic or speed/power zones. There are visual cues of blue, green, yellow, and red colors behind the heart rate zone numbers as well. I honestly do not know why anyone would want to run another app or even use a bike computer unless they were going out for a 2+ hour ride. Then it makes since because the battery in the phone does not last much more than 2 hours straight. But WOW is all I have to say, great great app.

Fail - crash

When working out and using an app to track the workout, the app should be a) rock solid reliable, b) easy and fast to startup and go. Unfortunately this app fails on the first count: it is not reliable - and crashes upon launch. FAIL. Functionality has been good, but needs an update.

Great App - Use Everyday

This is a great application. For anyone interested in tracking their fitness progress while monitoring hr, this is for you. Only small wish - it would be great if the application worked in landscape view.

Disappointed

Constantly have to delete and reinstall. Good guys-I hope they fix it.

Buggy

Ive been using Fitness trouble free for well over a year without issue. The latest update has changed all of that. I can no longer get it to upload to 3rd party connections. In my case Garmin Connect. Always worked before! IPhone 6plus - crashes when its supposed to upload. KICKR and TICKR owner. Very disappointed with this backward evolution and well over a month w no fix. Cmon Wahoo!

Seems to work when it wants to

I seem to intermittent connectivity. When it works its great but when I cant get it to connect or it loses connection mid rids its very frustrating.

Good overall / love Tickrx

Good cardio workout tracking app. Easy to configure and decent integration/sharing with a number of other apps. Good generic export capabilities. Wish there was a way to hand enter distance and other missing info and perhaps even notes at the end of a workout.

Goodbye Polar!

After so much irritation working with my polar hr sensor and headaches with the app I finally gave up and decided to opt for Wahoo. What a difference. Im very happy with their hr sensor and equally with the cadence sensor for my bike. Much more reliable than the ever erratic polar that used to drive me nuts.

Does the job!

Simple great fitness app! Works with GPS only so you dont even need a data connection. Accurate and easy to use! I recommend this app!

Very user friendly

Excellent app that is very easy to interact with.

Best App for Riding

I have used different apps for riding and so far this is the best app I found. Simple to use and complete display to view all data during the ride and after. The only disadvantage is the history part of the app; does not give totals by month or week. Also does not give comparison between the rides.

Perfect minimalist app!

The best app for no frills. All the features you need and few you dont. All I want is the numbers displayed big, clear in real time. This app gives them to me. If I want to socialize Ill join FB. And no ads, dont change a thing!

Phone 4 is not supported!

It would be fair to tell customers that now wahoo doesnt support iPhone 4 ( I guess iPhone 3 as well). Bike pro (by Runtastic) and Cyclemeter (by Abvio) still support older models. I still can see my 2013 test rides in both of them. Pity I decided to switch my bike tracking completely to wahoo - now I cant see the history at all. 5 updates in almost a year and still cant use this app (the same on other iPhone 4 devices). Customer support is dumb - having product in the market and unable to use with native application??? 0 star from me actually. After this review deleting this app and deciding to switch to one of stated above. It was good when it lasted. Feeling kicked off.

GARBAGE

Does not work on iPhone 4. So if you were hoping to repurpose that one lying around in the drawer for a cycle computer with their devices. Forget it.

Great First Impression

App is extremely simple. Doesnt expose a lot of bells and whistles up front, but lets you get right to working out. I love that it gives me so many options to share with other apps, and interfaces nicely with Health app.

Pretty good app

Ive only used this app a few times and I really havent used it too deeply yet. I use it mainly for my HR and it connects very easily and it accurate.

Works awesome but please improve

1. Can you make this receive left/right power? Im using powertap p1 pedal and itd help a lot if I can see the left/right separate wattage 2. Please make Apple Watch compatible!!!! Id like to see my heart rate or other stats on my Apple Watch display when running or biking. Please please make a Apple Watch version.....

Fantastic App

This is a great app meets all my needs. Those complaining about your 4s dont work with this app, you will find most apps dont work on that old device anymore. Time to upgrade.

Good

Navigating is a little clunky. It is accurate. Im not clear on why there are so many different workouts. What difference does it make? I dont need that much data. A simple mode that can be ramped up into an expert mode might help.
