This version seems to have fixed the GPS calculation error. But there seems to be some issue with connectivity to my Tickr Run. I cant do a 6 or even a 2 minute calibration for treadmill running without aborting after 90 seconds. The motion analysis is all over the place though in the past it seemed to work well.
The app is stable and connects to wahoos sensors quickly. The major flaw is the it auto pauses and wont start up again. I end up losing half my ride of data.
This seriously needs night and landscape modes.
I use this app in conjunction with a DuoTrap Bluetooth device on my Trek FX 7.3. I sometimes have to cycle power to my smartphone to get it to work. Not sure if it is an issue with my smartphone or the app itself. I love the large display of speed, time, distance, etc. The app provides only a 4 week summary of workouts, so there isnt a way to see the total miles traveled (odometer). This is the biggest problem I have with this app. Overall, I enjoy using this app.
Ive been using my ticker x with this app for over a year now. Besides a few minor annoyances its worked well. Lately, for some reason, things took a downward turn. The app has been forgetting the ticker, which meant I had to un-pair and re-pair. After re-pairing it alerted me to a firmware update. After installing the update the software began crashing constantly. After deleting and reinstalling the app, and losing all of my settings, once again re-pairing the ticker and re-programming my workout presets, things seemed ok. Until I realized that the ticker x was only recording portions of my workout before disconnecting. What happened, wahoo?? Update: FYI, wahoo fitness does not like to sync with My Fitness Pal via HealthKit. Also, if you want to sync your workouts with my fitness pal you have to pair your ticker x with your Apple Watch. Just make sure to turn off Bluetooth on your phone and start your workout first. Otherwise the tickr will unpair from the watch and pair with your phone again. Also, if your heart rate slows down too much and the ticker x unpairs it will re-pair with your phone instead of your watch.
I use their app and connect them to their sensors. I use them for road cycling, indoor trainer, and weight training. All of their stuff works really well. I think that they have done a great job with what they offer. My workouts are much more effective because I use what they offer. Kudos to you Wahoo. Really appreciate the quality items you offer.
I recently started road riding and with it using an indoor trainer while the roads have snow on them and trails to muddy. I normally use Strava for rides but it doesnt accurately support and indoor training without GPS. Wahoo collects all of the data I need for indoor and has all of the features for outdoor tracking with GPS. The best part is you can easily link Wahoo to Strava and still get all of the Strava segment times. I intend on buying the Wahoo Cadence/speed sensor very soon to go with it.
Lost connection to Wahoo RFLKT first ride out. Who wants to fiddle with poorly designed software in the middle of a ride. Frustrating
Current version either crashes on opening or hangs at splash screen. Have tried re-pairing monitor and Bluetooth with phone, no difference. Running current version iOS on a 6s phone.
I love it this app is nice work perfectly
This app has many great features, especially the integration with many other iPhone health and fitness apps. Its a great way to collect your workout data.
Im new to all the biking tech out there and this app makes things really easy and very user friendly.
Perfect app! My only request is Apple Watch support.
Syncs well with Apple Health. Perfect for working out.
Ive installed this app on two iPhone 5ss and one 4. One 5s works fine. On the other two the app crashes at the splash screen and never starts. All iOS versions up to date. No error message. Just disappears. Tried reinstalling the app and resetting all settings.
Just getting into it but money well spent. Most epic part is the accuracy of incline grade and wind heading speed adjustment thats very real. Would still like to see and share rides with people live more virtual rides in places than just seeing a diagnostic app.
Update: it continues to crash on my IPhone 6plus. I do not know whether it is he app or the RFLKT device for which I paid big bucks. But the app crashes ALL THE TIME. Now the verdict is out. Use something else. Do not buy the device (RFLKT). It crashed 4 times tonight. I am done. It crashes all the time and I have to restart it in the middle of the work up losing the data. I use it with the RFLKT. It was working well. Now it useless. I give up.
Got this app as the result of purchasing the Wahoo Kickr trainer. It integrates exceptionally well with this device and provides a ton of useful information when linked to the trainer, HR monitors, cadence sensors etc. Ive also used it on actually bike rides and found it to be very accurate and handy...the data pretty much mimics that of my Garmin Edge 500 bike computer. Some of the settings could use a bit of explanation but theres virtually no explanation or documentation so to a limited degree youre left to figure out how a few things work via trial and error. Overall Id def recommend this app especially if you own a Wahoo bike trainer.
Since Feb 6 the app crashes when I try and upload my data to Garmin Connect. Are you aware and when will you have a fix for this? I love my trainer but hate that I have to manually add Garmin Connect now.
