Wahoo Fitness App Reviews

Needs horizontal view

I have had some crashing issues but not bad. This does what I want it to do. Uploads to a lot of different apps strava and MFP. Would really love to see a horizontal view option something that you can lock it or something. With the larger phones you can have a view with a map on one side and speed cadence and heart rate etc on the other side of the screen.

Love it!

Perfect companion to the Wahoo heart rate monitor. Much better tracking options for indoor sports than Strava, etc. I just wish it had the social component of Strava; my reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Great app overall

This has almost everything I want, and everything Wahoo promises--active heart rate that doesnt disappear, cadence, distance with map at the end. I havent figured out how to analyze segments (presuming it is possible), and the only other thing I personally want is active blood Glucose report (?next to heart rate?), yet nobody has it all. I really enjoy this pair of products--tickr plus the wahoo fitness app! I see reviews that say analysis is limited in some ways, and the battery in my iPhone 5s gets soaked soaked up to 0 by two hours, but no crashes at all on iOS 9.3.5--so really, 4.5 Stars for this intermediate level user.

It does everything I need

This app is perfect for me as a weekend cyclist. It hooked up to my heart rate and cadence sensors without too much trouble. Most importantly the display reads cadence, heart rate, speed, time and distance in nice big fat red bold numbers half-inch high very easy to see at a quick glance without taking your eyes off the road for too long. GPS mapping system works great. The app tracks from one weekend to the next my rides so I can compare how well Ive been improving. Ive tried a few different apps and for me this one is the best specifically because the display of the important items is so large and easy to read.

Lack of initiative in service

Used to love this app because it would synch with my garmin 610. Newest version no longer supports the 610 according to the wahoo customer service nor do they have any plans to fix it in the future.

My O My

This app is a total waste of time. Crashes all the time. You really have no idea of your stats. Told me I was biking at 70 MPH. Ya right.

Works awesome but please improve

1. Can you make this receive left/right power? Im using powertap p1 pedal and itd help a lot if I can see the left/right separate wattage 2. Please make Apple Watch compatible!!!! Id like to see my heart rate or other stats on my Apple Watch display when running or biking. Please please make a Apple Watch version.....

Resource Hog

The app works fine but when I go to manage my storage on my phone, Wahoo Fitness is second only behind the video app in the amount of storage it takes up, using 4.5 GB of space. Thats even after deleting all the data files. For comparison I also use Cyclemeter and I use that app a lot more, yet it only takes 0.25 MB for many more stored files. I dont know what it is about how Wahoo manages data files versus Cyclemeter but it seems the Wahoo app is very in efficient in how it uses storage.

All we need now is Apple Watch support!!!

I love this app its a great hub for doing my running and cycling workouts with still being able to export to the multiple apps I have friends I share with (Runkeeper, Strava, Nike+). Plenty of information on the app, I really dont need more than the info provided with the different options. I actually bought a bunch of components to complement the app (HR monitor, speed sensor, cadence sensor). Only thing this needs is an Apple Watch App that uitilizes the GPS in Apple Watch Series 2. Running or cycling with this and not having to take my phone would be great. This would be a five star app in my eyes.

Data is NOT reliable

When the app loses contact with a sensor, a very frequent occurrence in my experience, it simply repeats the last data it received until it re-acquires contact with the sensor. In my testing, with a Stages Power Meter, about 25% of the data is not real sensor based data. For a heart rate sensor, this isnt a big deal, since your heart rate changes relatively slowly. For a power meter application, where the power output can change drastically in a second or two, simply repeating the last piece of data (for 2 to 30 seconds, on average more than once every other minute), results in a useless data stream. Careful how you use this tool.

Excellent!

Great app for tracking and saving various types of workouts. A nice feature is the ability to send workouts to other sites.

Very customizable

Works great with my new Magellan Echo watch and a heart monitor.

No longer uploads to Garmin

Used to be great but now no longer uploads to Garmin Connect due to Garmin changing their API. Contacted Wahoo support but they are not interested in updating the app to work properly. If they updated the app I would rate this higher

ARGGHHHHH!!!!!

I love the large display and the ability to program pages BUT IT CRASHES RUINING MY STATS AND DATA quite often!

Works well but needs Apple Watch mate

This is a barebones app that gives you an amaznig amount of details. Really needs an Apple Watch (start/stop/lap) controls and display.

Sync Issues

You can no longer sync to Garmin Connect. This issue has been going on for way too long. I need this for healthcare dollars with my provider.

App Instability!!!

The app repeatedly crashes while trying to perform spin downs on trainers! Very Frustrating!!!!!

Great chest sensor

Accurate chest sensor. Definitely better than any wrist types. App has all the basic monitoring information i need to observe my performance and improvements. I paired my phone with a bluetooth earphone and Wahoo chest HR monitor. Its less clutter and less distracting compared to keep looking at the watch. I can analyze everything when workout is done. You can just use apps that will give you an alert what your HR is at at a certain time period.

Poor support

The app worked well until it lost the ability to connect with Garmin connect... how many of us asking about this is necessary to update?????

No Cloud Storage

All workouts are device dependent, if you get a new device you loose everything.
